1:1 Cancer, Resilience & Advocacy Support Programme
Left Column
A compassionate, practical and empowering space for anyone navigating cancer — during treatment, after treatment, or anywhere in between.
Cancer affects every part of life; your energy, identity, confidence, work, relationships, and the systems you suddenly have to navigate. Whether you’re in treatment, recovering, returning to work, or adjusting to a new version of “normal”, this programme offers steady, human support at a time when most people feel overwhelmed, unseen or expected to cope alone.
Alongside emotional and resilience support, this programme also includes advocacy — helping you communicate your needs, understand your rights, and navigate conversations with employers, healthcare teams or support services.
What we explore together
Each session is tailored, but common themes include:
- Navigating the emotional impact of diagnosis and treatment
- Managing fatigue, overwhelm and uncertainty
- Resourcing yourself mentally, physically and nutritionally
- Understanding how illness affects identity, confidence and relationships
- Coping with work pressures, expectations and communication challenges
- Preparing for or managing a return to work
- Rebuilding strength and resilience at your own pace
- Advocacy support, clarifying your needs, preparing for difficult conversations, and helping you feel confident speaking up for yourself
This is not therapy or medical advice — it’s grounded, lived‑experience support with practical tools that help you feel more steady and more yourself.
Advocacy Support Includes
- Preparing for conversations with employers, HR, occupational health or managers
- Understanding your rights around adjustments, phased returns and flexibility
- Helping you articulate your needs clearly and confidently
- Supporting you to navigate services, appointments or workplace processes
- Acting as a thinking partner when you feel unsure, overwhelmed or unheard
- Advocacy is always done with you, never for you, it is empowering, not disempowering.
